Summer Arts Camp 2022

Registration is open for our 2022 Summer Camp. Ages 10-18 Our Summer Camps will be operating in-person only this summer. Participants undergo rigorous training with professional artists to learn new techniques in a variety of mediums, styles and themes. The camp is designed to prepare members for performing and/or producing work. Participants gain professional experience and appreciation for the creative works and productions that help shape the world around them. Lunch and snacks are provided.

Dancers Needed for A Journey Through Dance

Arts Interns Needed – Paid Opportunity

Here’s an opportunity to earn and learn with TBEY. We are in search of a couple of highschoolers to intern with us this summer. Student Eligibility: Be at least 16 years of age (unless the hiring organization indicates that the position is open to students who are 15 years of age or older) Be a high school equivalent student Be a resident of the City of Milwaukee OR currently enrolled in a MPS high school It is preferred, but not required, that individuals qualify for free or reduced school lunch. Tickets Available for Doc, Doc… Goose

TBEY Arts Center presents Doc, Doc… Goose Just think about those old-fashioned nursery rhymes and it’s easy to see why Mother Goose went to medical school and opened up a clinic in Nurseryland. There’s no “happily ever after” here! These poor nursery rhyme characters are plagued with freak accidents! A typical morning in Dr. Goose’s clinic includes a cow with a sore calf from moon-jumping, a crooked man wanting chiropractic adjustment, a daredevil who burns his seat jumping over candles, and a blonde juvenile delinquent who breaks into bears’ houses. Audition for Our Next Play!

We are seeking youth (ages 10 – 19) to be a part of our theatre production “Doc, Doc…. Goose” this spring. Rehearsals will begin mid-March, meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-7:00PM. Performance dates are set for June 3rd and 4th, 2022 To accommodate social distancing, auditions will be scheduled in 30 mins timeslots for groups of five or less. Giving Tuesday 2021

This #GivingTuesday we’re fundraising to offer financial assistance for at least 10 outstanding students to get arts training with TBEY Arts Center for the 2020-21 school year. Every $360 raised will provide full scholarship for one year of membership for our After School Arts Program. Join us by donating or creating a fundraiser to support scholarship funds for Milwaukee’s young artists.   Your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. After School Art Program – Fall 2021

We are inviting TBEY Students to enroll in our Fall After School Art Program in November and December. We have two special projects planned for Dance and Visual Art. Below are the new projects we are offering in preparation for winter. That’s right! Students will be creating winter-themed projects in these unique group-based projects. We will be hosting video presentations of each project just in time for the holiday break. Summer Arts Camp Virtual Showcase

    We are happy to announce the virtual presentation of the work of our Summer Arts Camp students. The virtual presentation will premiere August 25th at 6:00. We will be presenting a short video of student work on our website, and simultaneously premiering on Facebook and Youtube.

Last year we head to cancel our annual play. We are excited to announce that the play is back on. Our students are returning to the studio to rehearse for our play, Law and Order: Nursery Rhyme Unit. We are looking for a few more students (ages 10 – 19) to fill the cast. Sign your young actors up to audition next week. Rehearsals will begin in June, meeting every Tuesdays and Thursday, 5:30-7:30PM. Performance dates are set for mid-September. Volunteer Opportunity

Help us fund raise with Sendik’s this summer. We are seeking volunteers to serve up lunch through the Sendik’s Summer Grill Program. Proceeds from sales go directly to TBEY Arts Center.

SuperNova Auditions

  All new members must audition to participate with the SuperNova Dance Team. Please complete the form to audition. Preparing for Auditions: Prepare a 1-2 minute dance routine (any genre of dance). Please have music on a CD or MP3 player. Prepare a dance resume or be prepared to discuss your dance performance experiences, interests and goal.
