On May 29 and 30, eight young performers took to t On May 29 and 30, eight young performers took to the stage for TBEY's performance of The Complaint Department and Lemonade. 🎭 In an interview with the @journalsentinel, our Executive Director had this to say: "It brings me joy just to see [our students] coming out of their shell and being confident in that character building and projecting their voices and [to see] all of the things that theater brings out in kids." In the same article, 11-year-old Aubrey Quezaire described TBEY as a sanctuary where, unlike other spaces, she can just be herself. 🙏 Congratulations to our young performers on a successful show, and thank you to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for continuing to highlight the important role of arts education in our communities.
